The Wave - rooftop for guests!

Background - Broadbeach

Broadbeach is undergoing a major redevelopment. Up to a few years ago, all it had was a large number of old high rise buildings. They are of course still here, but stunning recent additions of new high rises with great ocean views include Air on Broadbeach, and the most recent, The Wave. For the  future, the most impressive development in the Gold Coast will be  the two high-rises (50 floors, 40 floors) of The Oracle (to be completed mid 2010). The coming Oracle, and the existing new high-rises the Wave, Air on Broadbeach and Broadbeach on the Park, are all clustered around the Oasis Shopping Centre, in the heart of Broadbeach.

Wave - unique design, unique rooftop facilities

Almost all existing and new high-rise resorts devote the top floors to penthouses. The Wave is the outstanding exception. It already has huge BBQ and pool & spa pool facilities on the 4th floor. Uniquely, the developer (Stanley Ho, the Macau casino billionaire), decided to enhance the enjoyment of owners & guests by providing additional facilities on the rooftop, with the result that the ENTIRE rooftop (34th floor) provides:

  1. 360 degree views N, S, E & W - see photos
  2. elevated pool and spa
  3. owners/guests lounge
  4. huge BBQ area with incredible ocean views.

Since the entire rooftop is an open facility, there is plenty of room for guests to stroll around in the early evening to see the sunset, admire the view, and rustle up a nice BBQ, accompanied by stimulating conversation & refreshments!
